We are fortunate to have hundreds of miles of trail accessible by riding from our downtown store. We are a 5-minute (or shorter) ride to the Greenbelt too! However, if you must transport one of our demo bikes, we require one of the following to safely transport it to and from your location!

 

Approved forms of transportation:

 

• A Hitch mounted rack that the bike can rest in or be secured by its wheels -also known as a “tray” style rack (Velocirax, Kuat, 1Up, etc.)
• A Tailgate pad that secures the bike inside the truck bed
• SUV style vehicle that is enclosed, and the bike can lie down with both wheels on
• Roof Rack bike mount that leaves both wheels on the bike, and secures the bike by the wheels (no frame clamp or fork mount)

 

 

NOT Approved forms of transportation:

 

• A hitch mounted rack that suspends the bike by the frame - Example: Yakima Fullback Rack

• Loosely laid down in a pickup truck bed (Or strapped down in the bed of a pickup similar to a dirt bike)

• Vehicle that does not allow for the bike to keep both wheels on - Example: A small sedan

• Roof Rack bike mount that clamps the bike by the frame or fork without the wheel.

• A tailgate pad that is not designed for bikes - Example: a blanket over the tailgate

 

 

 

We do need to verify transportation methods upon pick-up. We do retain the right to refuse a method of transportation for any of our rental bikes.
