V30 Another truly classic Swix wax. To be used on moderate cold snow when skiing is at its best. New Snow: -2°C to -10°C (28°F to 14°F) Old Snow: -5°C to -15°C (23°F to 5°F) V40 The most popular V-wax. A very flexible and versatile wax covering a large temperaturerange on the cold side of freezing. To be utilized close to 0°C, demands relatively new snow and low air humidity (below 45-50%). New fallen snow -1°C to -7°C (30°F to 19°F). Transformed fine grained snow -3°C to -10°C (27°F to 14°F). V45 A very frequently used wax, both in racing and touring. When Blue Extra becomes somewhat slippery, a thin layer of Violet Special probably is the right wax. New fallen snow 0°C to -3°C (32°F to 27°F). Transformed fine grained snow -2°C to -6°C (28°F to 21°F). V50 For many years a secret weapon in the wax-box of World Cup Servicemen. To be used when the snow is in a stage going from cold to wet, around freezing (32°F). New fallen snow 0°C (32°F). Transformed fine grained snow -1°C to -3°C (30°F to 27°F). V55 For moist new snow up to +1°C (34°F) and down to -2°C (28°F) in older more transformed granular snow. New fallen snow +1°C to 0°C (34°F to 32°F). Transformed fine grained snow 0°C to -2°C (32°F to 28°F).
Swix HF8BWX Black Wolf 40g Black, +4°C to -4°C (34°F to 25°F). Performs extremely well on man-made snow or transformed natural snow as well as dirty snow due to resistance towards pollutants. Normally used as a base for Swix Cera F FC78 or FC8X. Recommended iron temperature setting of 120°C (245°F). The Black Wolf (BW) contains solid lubricants as additives. This will give you an advantage during times of course grained snow, dirty snow, Man-made snow, and Dry Friction or extremely cold temperatures. The reduced friction has made it a staple for top ski techs on the World Cup Circuits.
Swix KR35 Special Klister : Violet 55g. For conditions around 0°C (32°F) and slightly colder. Good mid layer klister on top of green klister. Top klister, red or universal, will then not slide backwards. +1°C to -4°C (34°F to 25°F).
Swix Sport Cold Base Prep. A harder Baseprep for new DH, GS and SL skis used for all conditions. Can also be used for glacier training. The wax is easy to work with and gives the skis a nice looking finish.
Swix Sport HF10 is for very wet conditions. Falling wet snow, rain, and a water saturated snow surface. At these temperatures dirt in the snow is often concentrated at the surface, therefore HF10 is best used with Cera F FC10 powder as an overlayer. HF10 is often mixed with HF8. Recommended iron temperature setting of 110ºC. +10ºC to 0ºC (50ºF to 32ºF).
Two of the most used HF waxes in one package. Swix created wax to be used for skis and snowboards, and this particular wax is made to have a high percentage of a low melting point fluorocarbon additive. The waxes in the HF12 combination provide fast acceleration, are useable in different temperatures, and are also durable and dirt resistant. 20g of HF7 ...28' to 18' 20g of HF8 ...34' to 24'
0°C to -15°C (32°F to 5°F). For coarse snow/hard tracks and icy conditions. It is excellent on hard packed coarse cold snow, but can also be an alternative to KR20 BASE as base klister since it is easier to apply. It is also often used as the “in between” klister on top of KR20 BASE. ICE is rarely used as the final layer in a ski race due to the preparation of the tracks. For general skiing on cold mornings after it has been wet the day before, it is a highly useful product.
+3°C to -4°C (37°F to 25°F). FLEXI differs from the other klisters by being made for more varied snow, from fine to coarse. The ideal range is slightly on the colder side, but gives also grip above freezing (32°F). It is the klister that can take the most fine grained snow of all klisters in the market. The reason is that FLEXI contains silver. Compared to K21N Silver Universal it is slightly harder and can thus take colder and more fine grained snow.
For normal, subfreezing temperatures. New fallen snow -2ºC to -8ºC (28ºF to 18ºF). Transformed fine grained snow -4ºC to -12ºC (25ºF to 10ºF). 45g The VR waxes are fluorinated and made for top racing, but have also proved interesting for recreational and sport skiers because of the excellent properties, particularly around 0' ( 32'F). VR hardwaxes are characterized by a high degree of flexibility. Each VR wax has two specific temperature ranges, one for new fallen snow characterized by sharp snow crystals with relatively strong penetration capacity and one range for older snow when the crystals are rounded off and have less penetration power.
Designed for wet snow with little water content. When used below freezing high humidity is required. New fallen snow +2ºC to 0ºC (36ºF to 32ºF). Transformed fine grained snow +1ºC to -2ºC (34ºF to 28ºF). 45g The VR waxes are flourinated and made for top racing, but have also proved interesting for recreational and sport skiers because of the excellent properties, particularly around 0' ( 32'F). Dynafit has entirely reworked Speedskins. A technical breakthrough prevents undesirable snow build-up while also providing excellent gliding and climbing qualities. A special middle membrane stops water from being absorbed and improves the skin's edge seals. The skins are tear resistant and do not wrinkle easily. The Dynafit Stretch System provides the ideal attachment between skin and ski tail. Snow and ice is prevented from getting under the skin, which is tightly wrapped around the tip.
